THE HERO’S JOURNEY, A Writer’s Quest — Here’s an invitation to young writers to participate in the creation of their own mythology. Not only is it a terrific stimulus for student writing, THE HERO’S JOURNEY challenges participants to consider the values and character traits their Heroes and Heroines must display if they are to prevail in their great adventure. Grades 3-5, Middle & High School.
THE HERO’S JOURNEY workshops has a lasting impact on participating students. THIS POEM IS ME, Adventures in Poetry — This incredibly popular workshop is designed to promote writing skills through personal, poetic discovery. All children are poets. THIS POEM IS ME offers the tools, inspiration and enjoyment to make poetry a lifelong pursuit. Grades 3-5, Middle & High School.
LETTERS TO THE EARTH, A Workshop in Nature Writing — This workshop is designed to be used in conjunction with general science curriculum and offers students an active and rewarding experience in observation and inquiry. Through written response, students begin to understand their unique place in our shared ecology and our responsibility and stewardship for the world in which we live. Grades 3-5, Middle School. |
